The Event
Bat Mitzvah of Sloan Isabelle Marmer
On June 11, 2022, I will be called to the Torah to become a Bat Mitzvah. A B’ Mitzvah is when a child becomes an adult in the eyes of the Jewish community. On this occasion, the child reads from the Torah in front of the Congregation. We read that Bar Mitzvahs have been a ritual for Jewish boys since the 16th century, but the first Bat Mitzvah ceremony wasn't held until 1922. Keep track of these fun facts as there may be a test later…
I can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
